Angel

Since a certain baby will soon begin dominating all of our pictures, here's a cute picture of Angel from today. She likes to lay where the sun comes through the blinds, which in this case is on the arm rest of our couch. Not many dogs could fit there.

Alabama Theater

For this year's 1122 Christmas Party, we saw A Christmas Story at the Alabama Theater (I know, technically they spell it "Theatre" but last time I checked we won the Revolutionary War).

Tammy had her first baby shower in Huntsville this weekend, which included this really cool "diaper cake" that her mom made.

Flannel Quest 2007

Tonight was Flannel Quest 2007, which marked the 9th Flannel Quest. Brandon talked our waitress into letting Tammy wear an apron and bow-tie for the picture. Playing the pregnancy card can get you anything you want. On another note, if anyone is looking for a Rosie O'Donnell Show Christmas ornament, America's Thrift Store in Alabaster has several of them in stock.

Chattanooga

We took Friday off from work and spent the weekend in Chattanooga for our last trip before the baby comes. Obviously, we didn't push ourselves too much and didn't even try to see and do everything. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable trip.

Homecoming in Tuscaloosa

We went with Brandon and Kelly to the UA Homecoming game against Houston. The game was...well...we won at least, and we had fun. We ran into several people at the BCM that we hadn't seen in a while.

Nursery Almost Finished

Painting the Nursery

In a picture that I already regret posting, Andrea came over to help us paint the nursery. Tammy offered moral support, while Andrea and I lost several pounds of water weight.

Tammy's High School Reunion

We went to Tammy's 10 year high school reunion in Huntsville. These are her friends Amanda and Jenny.

Ricky's brother Michael and his wife Laura had their baby, and here Tammy is practicing on how to hold a newborn.

6th Anniversary

To celebrate our 6th anniversary (and last one we don't have to get a babysitter for), Tammy made breakfast. We later took a picnic lunch to Star Lake in Hoover, then for dinner we ate at J. Alexander's (where we ate the night we got engaged). We took a walk at Howard Lake in Hoover, and then we topped off the night with caramel pie from O'Charley's (where we went on our first date).



At Star Lake and then again later at Howard Lake, we ran across lots of baby ducks. Tammy the aspiring duck photographer took plenty of pictures.

Huntsville

Angel stayed with Tammy's parents while we were at the beach...for her birthday, she got a new toy. It's a clam...appropriately named "Clammy".

Seagrove Beach, FL

We spent a week with Ricky's family at Seagrove Beach. The house we rented has a rooftop deck area where we ate supper one night and took this picture.

Fort Walton Beach, FL

We went to Fort Walton for a few days by ourselves, then spent the week with Ricky's family in Seagrove Beach. This is from our dinner at The Crab Trap in Fort Walton.

Kentucky

While we were in Kentucky, we found some horses we could actually get close to. This one might not have a future at Churchill Downs, but it was cute nonetheless.




We also visited Schmidt's Coca-Cola Museum in Elizabethtown. They have the largest private collection of Coke stuff around.

Kentucky Derby

We went to the 133rd running of the Kentucky Derby in Louisville, KY. Tammy really got into the spirit of things with a big hat.

Callaway Gardens

We found a playground near our hotel and played on it in the dark, then went back again the next day.

We took a quick weekend trip over to Callaway Gardens. The azaleas were definitely past their peak, but there were still plenty of flowers to be found.

High Country 5K

Tammy ran in the High Country 5K. Ricky did not run, but was able to use his "family of a runner" status to score the free spaghetti dinner Friday night and pancake breakfast on Saturday.

Easter in Huntsville

Easter is one of the holidays that we alternate between Huntsville and Birmingham, and this was Huntsville's year. This picture was taken in front of Tammy's grandparents' house.

Ruffner Mountain

I know you can't really tell where we are from this picture, but I hadn't posted a picture in a while so I wanted to post one. Today we went to Ruffner Mountain, a park that's pretty much right in the middle of the city of Birmingham. Tammy got to see a lot of birds.

Angel stayed with Tammy's parents in Huntsville while we were in San Antonio, and she got to see snow for the first time.

Birthdays in Huntsville

This weekend we celebrated both of our birthdays with Tammy's family in Huntsville. This works out really well for Ricky, as his actual birthday is not for two more weeks. The kick-off of what he calls "Birthday Season" is always a special event. The Incredible Floating Cookie Cake was delicious!
